MOCA vs. ESTIMOTE beacons comparison

Beacons are the answer to the weakness of the GPS when indoors location is needed. The right tool for the job.

Who’s using Beacons? check out these 15 companies from airports to retail already using Beacon technology. In a nutshell, Beacons are perfect to better the in-store experience, airports notifications, events, stadiums, hotels or simply to automate our own homes.

Here’s a brief comparison of the top two players —after playing around with their SDKs— to help you choose which is the best option for your needs: MOCA beacons and Estimote Beacons (Yep, in case you noticed, not Apple’s iBeacon included. Why? the iBeacon technology is already integrated into the iPhone so not a real device was built by Apple). Both of these beacons work beautifully well and the main difference between these two are in their respective back-ends (APIs, Analytics and Documentation)
